Monday January 18 2010 Tonight we had about 20 people and 6 parrots.Vicki spoke on positive re-enfocement training, with many helpful techniques. The night ended as we sat talking together about our feathered friends

Since members expressed a need for more time training their parrots it was
decided to extend the date for judging our "New Years' Challenge." We will
do that at the March meeting and the winner will receive a $25. gift certificate
to the pet store of their choice.
We spent time clipping
articles from the many magazines in our lending library. When they are grouped
by topic it should be easier for members to find useful material to
borrow.
Monday March 15 2010 We had a real good turn out tonight with 6 Birds tonight Tim was delclared the winner of the New Years Challange.

Our club took part in the University of
Guelph, Ridgetown Campus Pet Showcase. We had over a dozen birds there and
talked to a lot of interested people. Many of us took part in the various
competitions and came away with ribbons and prizes. It was a great day! Thanks
to the students of the Vet tech programme for including us!

I'd like to thank
Richard for all his years as Vice President. He was and continues to be a great
asset to our club. Richard and Karen are finding it difficult to make the
meetings due to their work schedules but will remain members and attend our
functions if at all possible. Thanks, guys!

who stepped in as secretary to help us out. She is still the head of the
Fundraising Committee and does a wonderful job!

Monday June 21 Those who made the meeting
tonight got a real treat. Phil showed us clips of parrots doing amazing things
and Jeannie did a flying demonstration with her two Goffins Cockatoos.We also
had a lively discussion on good and bad ways to use water with
our birds.
Vickie brought everyone up to date on our four latest "outings"
and it was announced that our July Pot-luck barbecue will be at Martha's on
Monday, July 19th. Please e-mail the club address for
