busy meeting tonight with a lot of parrots there to be photographed for the
upcoming calendar. If you were not there and would like to order a
calendar ($20.) please e-mail ckparrotclub@hotmail.com
with your request. Also, if your parrot was not photographed at the meeting
please e-mail a picture (preferably portrait style) to the above
address.

Artist Christopher
Clarkson was our visitor tonight. After (and during) the business portion of the meeting he did caricatures of us and
our birds. We will see the finished products in November. We really appreciate
Christopher entertaining us with his talents!
We also drew for the one day
pass to the parrot conference and Dale Hauk was the lucky
winner.
October 20th to November 20th 2009 We
are running an on-line auction through facebook. Please join this group "Chatham

yourself some great items! Thanks so much to Carole Morgan for all the work she
is putting into this event.
November 13,14 &15th Some of us will be attending The Canadian Parrot Conference in Guelph. Our club is again donating a "birdie basket" to the fund-raising raffle. We look forward to learning from great speakers, enjoying the live auction and banquet, visiting with lots of people who share our love of birds and the opportunity to purchase all kinds of super bird products. Monday November 16th 2009 After the business portion of the meeting (during which Vickie reported on the great information given by the speakers at the CPC), members took part in a toy-making workshop and went home with lots of enrichment for their feathered friends. Thanks very much to Candice for supplying so many of our materials!

Monday December 21st 2009 We had an awesome turn out for our Christmas Potluck. Thank you to everyone who participated, it was a wonderful time celebrating the season together!
Monday January 18 2010 Tonight we had about 20 people and 6 parrots.Vicki spoke on positive re-enfocement training, with many helpful techniques. The night ended as we sat talking together about our feathered friends.
